Local, Safe & Fun: Spring Break at Hazard Center

As a mom, you are constantly looking for ways to turn everyday life into a fun and entertaining adventure. Whether it’s groceries to purchase, dry cleaning to pick up or gifts to buy, life is made easier when you can do it with one-stop-shopping. When I visited Hazard Center in Mission Valley I was quickly impressed by the number of stores and activities presented to me. Although spring break might look different this year, if you are on the hunt for an easy and convenient family activity don’t shy away from Hazard Center.

Quick info about Hazard Center:

Address: 7610 Hazard Center Drive, San Diego, CA 92108

Parking: Ample free parking

Hours: Hours vary depending on the store or restaurant, check out the directory here.

We started our day off shopping for educational materials at Lakeshore Learning Store. They have tools and educational materials for infants to toddlers up through sixth grade. The perfect place to stock up on fun tools and products to help the girls continue to learn during spring break. They love their new scoop-a-bug sorting kit!

Shortly after we stopped at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse to enjoy lunch! Not only was there a terrific kid’s menu and coloring book but they also offer a huge list of microbrewed beers (I may have enjoyed a Brewhouse Blonde myself). I ordered the Kale and Brussels salad and the girls ended their lunch with a warm Pizookie ®, which they loved.

Not only can you have a little spring break fun at these two spots but Hazard Center also has a Barnes & Noble Bookstore to add to your family’s book, toy or game collection. They also offer a great children’s reading area inside their store! If you’re in need of a quick mom pick-me-up, Intermezzo Espresso coffee shop has a great outdoor patio and there’s a conveniently located Starbucks. What more could you ask for?

Spring break might look a little different this year but it’s easy to turn running errands into a fun family adventure!
