November is in full swing in San Diego, cooler evenings, earlier sunset – but still so much going on around town! Let’s explore all San Diego has to offer this November!

Rady Children’s Ice Rink at Liberty Station

When: November 16 – January 7, 10am – 10pm daily

Modified hours on the following dates:

  • Opening Day, Nov. 16: 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Thanksgiving Day: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Christmas Day: 1 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • New Years Eve: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Celebrate the holidays at Liberty Station by skating with your loved ones at the Rady Children’s Hospital Ice Rink on Liberty Station from Thursday, November 16th through Sunday, January 7th. Put on your most festive holiday sweaters and get ready to skate. Located in the Central Promenade at ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station, Rady Children’s Ice Rink is in its 27th year and is a fun, family-friendly way to spend time together, raising funds for the Thriving After Cancer program at the Peckham Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.

 Botanic Garden Lightscape. This is our absolute favorite; it really can’t be beat! The one-mile loop created around the garden turns areas into beautiful lit up landscapes of art. Grab a drink to begin your walk and a treat along the way!

When: November 17 – January 1

Catch a San Diego Gulls Game. The San Diego Gulls are our very own ice hockey team in the AHL! Their home games are at the Pechanga Arena, and they are so fun. Family friendly, especially on the weekend day games! Check out their schedule here.

Fleet Week. San Diego is home to the largest U.S. military concentration in the country. Join in on these inspiring events designed to honor and celebrate our military’s incalculable contributions as defenders of our nation and neighbors in our community. Find the full schedule of events here.

Tree Lighting Ceremonies. This is always the initial kick off to the holiday season! A lot begin after Thanksgiving, these are the ones happening in November:

  • Liberty Station Tree Lighting & Holiday Festivities, North Promenade on Friday, Nov. 25, from 5PM to 9PM.
  • One Paseo, on Friday, Nov. 25, from 5PM to 8PM.
  • Old Globe Theatre, on Sunday Nov. 12 at 6PM.
  • Julian Christmas Tree Lighting, on Friday, Nov. 25 from 12PM to 7:30PM

Holidays at LEGOland. Hands down the best theme park in San Diego County, LEGOland is kicking off their Holidays on November 18th! Full details can be found here.
